The Good:
1. Having a partner (Sheva Alomar) enhances the fun and excitement during game play. It works great for online play, or in a single player game. The ability to swap weapons and ammo with your partner comes in real handy, especialy when you have limited room in your inventory.
2. The graphics look stunning. Although, I must admit the PS3 version of Resident Evil 5 has more of a grainy dirty look to it, than the smoother cleaner 360 version. Not a bad thing, just different...
3. Strong A.I.in the game. Quite a few gamers are saying that Sheva keeps on getting killed during each mission cause she's too stupid to know when to save or shoot her ammo. I did not find this to be the case. Most of the time, I was dying and Sheva was the one bailing me out.
4. Lots of replay value: With online play, unlockable playable characters and downloadable content, Resident Evil 5 keeps on giving.
The Bad:
1. Too much like Resident Evil 4. You may think that's a good thing, cause Resident Evil 4 was one of the best games of all time and raised the bar for survivor horror games. The problem is that Resident Evil 5 doesn't build on the foundation that Resident Evil 4 laid down. The game play remains exactly the same (except for the addition of co-op play) For 2009, Resident Evil 5 feels a little slow and dated. Movement is very slow, and the game play may not appeal to everyone, especially those who are use to faster pace games like Gears of War or Kill Zone 2.
2. Turning your character is very slow and should of been a lot faster. I was disappointed that Capcom didn't speed this up.
3. Lacking of storage space in your inventory. Only 9 spots are allowed in your inventory, which is not enough. You'll find yourself dropping items all the time, just to make room for any new weapons or ammo you want to pick up. Not only is Shea your partner, but you'll use her as a living storage unit cause you will have to keep giving her all your crap to carry because you have no room for it.
4. Single player story is a tad too short. Compared to Resident Evil 4, RE5 feels almost like half the game that RE4 was....you want to keep playing more, but then you realize it's over. You will be able to whip through this game in ten hours or less.
5. I know Capcom was trying to bring a different environment to horror games, but being attacked by ''infected'' people in the brightness of daylight is just not as scary as darkness of night.
